Holiday budget planner
Set your holiday budget first, then watch what's booked and what's left as you go. Your budget only counts what you've actually booked, so the figure you see is what the trip really costs, not a guess. It's a trip planner and a travel budget tracker in one, free to start.
Plan a holiday on a budget in five steps
You choose the number. Everything after that is measured against it.
Set your budget
On the Plan page, add where you're going, your dates, who's coming, how you're travelling and your budget for travel and your stay.
Get ideas that fit
See flights for your dates, places to stay with live prices and bookable things to do, each with its price, so you can weigh them up against what you've got left.
Add what you book
Book on the company's own site, then add the price you paid for your whole group to your trip log. Paste the confirmation email and it fills in the details.
See what's left
Your trip log shows what's booked against your budget, and what's left before you book the next thing.
Track spending while you're away
Log meals, tickets and taxis in the money you paid in. The trip log turns them into pounds at that day's exchange rate.

A budget that only counts what's real
Estimates have a habit of creeping up once bags, seats and transfers are added. So your budget is built from confirmed bookings only: the prices you actually paid.
Ideas you like can sit on your plan with their pictures and prices, but they never count towards your budget until you've booked them. That way the number you see is always the number you'll pay.
Why budget your holiday here
- Makes every pound countYou set the budget before you look at a single price, so the trip fits your money rather than the other way round.
- Saves you timeNo spreadsheet to keep up. Add each booking once and your budget, day-by-day plan and trip log all update together.
- See where it all wentWhen you're home, see everything you paid line by line, which helps you set a realistic budget for the next trip.
Deals, checked against the usual price
Every morning we check fares from UK airports and compare each one with the usual price for that route and month, so you can decide whether it's right for your budget. Fares are hand luggage only; bags, seats and card fees cost extra.
See a sample on today's holiday deals. The Deal Club adds every deal from your own airport and email alerts when prices drop. The Deal Club opens on Black Friday, 27 November.
Questions about the holiday budget planner
Is the holiday budget planner free?
Yes. Single trips are free to plan in full, as many as you like, each with its budget, trip log and day-by-day plan. The Deal Club adds multi-centre tours, holiday deals from your own airport and sync across your devices.
What does my holiday budget include?
The budget you set on the Plan page is for travel and your stay. Things to do count towards it once you've booked them, and while you're away you can log your spending in the trip log and see it next to your budget.
Why doesn't the budget count estimates?
Because estimates aren't what you pay. Your budget is built from confirmed bookings only, using the price you paid for your whole group, so it always shows what the trip really costs and what's left.
Can I log spending in euros or dollars?
Yes. Log each payment in the currency you paid in and the trip log converts it to pounds using the exchange rate for that day. You can also enter amounts in pounds.
Do you sell holidays?
No. You book directly with the airline, hotel or travel company on their own site. Some links are affiliate links: if you book through them we may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you.
Plan the holiday you want, for the price you set
